cerebral Ventricle enlargement

One of my premature twin babies was born with an enlarged (very slightly) ventricle on his brain, I only found this out at 4 months when he has a head scan, I was told not to worry and that it'll be checked at 7 months of age by the neurologist, which is next month. I was given no more info. He seems a normal baby in every respect, moving and making all the right noises, smiling like a trooper. I am just so afraid that at the next neurologist visit I will be told something horrific. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you. x

I would imagine it is a follow up just to make sure he is developing normally, which it sounds he is. I dont know much about enlarged ventricles but just wanted to reassure that everything sounds quite normal and to try not to worry to much. I often think its awful that medics tell you things like this without explaining anything further, adding to the stress and worry of the parent.

Let us know how you get on tommorrow :)
