Well, today I got a phone call WE HAVE GOT A HOUSE!! Grin Grin Grin

Just thought I'd share some good news... So dinky will be able to leave the school that doesn't want her, and have a fresh start!

That is great! I saw your post when the school described you as one of 'those sorts' of families. Angry Bet you can't wait!

marchduck · 01/03/2013 19:05

Dinky, I have read some of your posts. Your DD is lucky to have such a fab mum - all the best to you both for your new home. I hope you have much happiness there!

Thanks everyone! Smile

Ellen
It was fun telling the deputy head/senco!

I told her that we had got a place and have done the form for admissions, and that I had very quickly come round to moving to an area and a school that was used to families like ours! Also that the TAC she had arranged needs to be assessed as she won't be lead professional anymore, and she might need to invite the new school to the meeting!

That's amazing! I'm so very happy for you all. Smile Thanks

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 01/03/2013 19:18

I hope your new school is much more sympathetic and inclusive. Smile One thing I've learnt from MNSN is that leafy, suburban schools aren't always the best for any sort of SN.

Dinkysmummy · 01/03/2013 19:30

I totally agree Ellen

I went to see another school (not the one dinky will go to but another not so popular area), it seemed so much friendlier and every class had a LSA up to year 6 with added TA for early years and 3 floating LSA Shock
They had a fantastic outside woodland area and I visited every classroom up to year 2 and every class said hello and nearly every teacher said "bring her here" when they found out I was looking at two schools.

The pastoral support teacher was lovely and it is certainly not the type of welcome you would get at dinkys current school!

Lesson learned!

I can't wait to visit dinkys new school on Monday! Grin
