Will my friend be allowed with me to Tribunal tomorrow instead of my husband?

That's it really - my friend took a day off to help to look after my kids, then dd got ill, but since yesterday she was ok, so I didn't ask the solicitor if friend can come with me instead of husband. Now, dd running fever again and we don't feel comfortable leaving her ( and ds) with the friend who has a little girl herself.

It should be fine.
Your friend should go and then you will have to ask for permission - explaining the circumstances. Try and tell the other side before you go in the situation and ask if they agree to her observing, and tell the Clerk. You and the rep for the other side may have to go in first and get permission.
I can't see anyone objecting.

I agree explain at the beginning. I got called in before the tribunal with their solicitor for a chat. I think they are more concerned about the numbers so as its a replacement for your dh that should be fine.
