Hello

Could someone explain to me what the difference between 'Reciprocal Imitation Training' and 'intensive interaction' is?

Thanks

Moondog, you need data to show they're being reinforced, you cant just take their word for it Wink

Genuine suggestion for Bangor to demonstrate cost-effectiveness of ABA: an audit (case-control? or before& after study? or dose-response?) of sickness absence rates for SN staff exposed to ABA training and consultation. Or researcher could do the burnout questionnaires...

Hehe, very true! Grin
Believe me, they are also very quick to tell me when they think one of my suggestions is not so hot.

Work is done on that.
Mindfulness (ie a behaviourally based approach) and its application to staff retention, satisfaction and burnout is a big area with growing body of data.

Not so much my field though, althoguh very interested in it and now working with teaching staff using it in the class (with some incredible results and of course the all important data)

My LA told the tribunal that they offered an eclectic package of II, ABA and the Sherbourne Movement

Wtf? This was the tribunal you lost????

StarlightMcKenzie · 14/02/2013 22:50

Yes, but they could have offered a trip to the moon and the panel would have still taken them seriously. They didn't 'win' anything. The tribunal panel had two vindictive morons on it and made us wait 6 weeks over the summer before ordering the LA provision and stating the reasons against ABA being that no public sector employee had recommended it.

Yes. Vindictive list.

On x date, SW wrote a report. Nowhere in it did she recommend ABA.
On y date, HV wrote a report. Nowhere did it mention recommendation for ABA.

Etc etc etc...... C

Spectacularly failing to acknowledge the point that had any of those people recommended ABA, we wouldn't have BEEN at tribunal.
