he was signed off school part time back in june last year - he only attended in the afternoons but he has now been signed of first for 2 weeks full time and now for a further month.

the EWO has been no where near us - heard nothing. I know school had spoken to her in the past and she was apparently sympathetic. My GP has just phoned and the EWO wants to speak to her about how she can support my son so GP wanted my permission. I said okay as we have nothing to hide at all but i do feel a sense of dread - im guessing its because it has now moved to him being signed off for a month so it goes over 15 days but then i think maybe it could be something darker with the tribunal being only 2 weeks away. I suppose i am concerned about claws posts.

i have thanks to the tribunal substantial reports to show that he has high anxiety levels etc but i just worry exactly what the EWO is going to do.

maybe they have got a sniff that this could head to LGO after the tribunal so its a case of covering their backs when to date they have done absolutely nothing to support him. they cant even try and blame it on us as parents as he was doing it in school and i have the sickness logs to show. im just ever so slightly cynical that is happening now 2 weeks to tribunal

Is it normal for an ewo to liaise with a GP? Why can't the EWO ask you or school?

i dont know - he has a doctors note for all of his absences. GP said she would tell them the truth and if necessary refer them onto his paedatrician. im sure they have spoken to school already but it seems to be an ongoing issue here that noone will speak to me as his parent. im sure im just over thinking it and it is due to a month sick note - maybe she thinks the go should be giving shorter notes in case he improves. by the time this sick note runs out it will all be resolved one way or another so they have come at teh very end. his current mainstream school said in may they cannot meet his needs and the LA would seek a new school placement. and here we are in nearly february no further forward.........
