Help!! I'm supporting a parent of a child with Adhd throught the wording in the statement - it's full of waffle - words like "regular, access to, benefit from.
We asked on the 7th August to meet with the LA and were basically directed to the Senior Ed Psych (student did the assessment) who agreed to change some of the wording in Part 2 and 3. Just before Xmas parent was given a 2nd draft with 3 minor changes but left Part 3 as it was (see above) We had already sent the LA a detailed letter saying how they could make Part 3 more specific and quantifiaable.
The La have now come back and said they will meet with us at the school and Ed Psych and Senco and Head of Year. Are the LA going about this in the right way. I thought it was they who decided how the statement would be worded, not in conjunction with the school?
