We went to a big adventure place near us with 5 of his new friends (I now think after the party they really could be friends too!) and it went so well!

Ds couldn't have smiled more if he tried and he went on all the rides and because it was his birthday party he didn't have to queue which made such a difference!!

He declared after that it was his best birthday ever and was the happiest he'd ever been (his words!).

I am so very very pleased! Smile

Fantastic Essbee, a great leap forward Grin

Thank you! It really is such a huge leap, I really hope this will have a continuing positive effect on him down here. The last few days with ds leading up the party, have perhaps, been our worst here yet. It included him finally going to sleep Thursday night at.. 5am. It was one melt down after another.

glad it went well! the lack of queueing must have made a HUGE difference to him.

ItalianJob · 16/04/2006 18:31

would it help him in queues etc if he had something to do like a sudoku book, so he could sort of blot out the people around him?

essbee · 16/04/2006 23:13

Possibly! I'm not sure he'd concentrate enough to get absorbed with so much going on though. Always worth a go mind!!
