Nordic fish oils for verbal dyspraxia

I've heard these recommended by a number of people and want to try them for my 2.10 y.o. DS who has a dx of verbal dyspraxia.

I'm really confused by the different types they make though - any ideas which would be the best sort?

My dd 2.6 has delayed speech, she hasn't been diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia but she does show many of the signs, so I have been doing quite a lot of research on it. I have the book "The Late Talker" which is written by a Mum who has 2 sons, both of whom have verbal dyspraxia. It's an America book but still relevant. They seem to be much more clued up about verbal dyspraxia in the US than we are. In the book they recommend fish oil with a combination of EPA, DHA and GLA and a higher EPA to DHA ratio. They recommend ProEFA Nordic Naturals which has 148mg of EPA, 99mg of DHA and 40 mg of DLA. However I have had trouble sourcing this brand in the UK so I have been using Ascenta Nutrasea Kids which has a comparable amount of EPA, DHA and GLA. It is in liquid form and dd has been happy to have a spoonful each day. I have been using it for two months and although there hasn't been a massive improvement she has picked up some new words.
I would really recommend the book. It has a whole chapter on the use of fish oils and is very interesting reading. I bought it from Amazon (sorry haven't worked out how to do links on my phone!)

my DS has verbal dispraxia and we have been using a brand called SPEAK and bought it from Mandimart.com. Has helped a lot!

You take tablets for 3 months building from 1 to 4-6 per day and then stop, it had vit E and K if I remember right. It was recommended by our consultant. DS has tried Vegepa, and 3 more popular brands, my brain has stopped but speak did the best trick.

The downside is its expensive I think £35-40 for 60 caps but taste not so bad and you get the value for your money.

Thanks - that's really useful. I had assumed he'd have to keep on taking them, so just 3 months is interesting (and a lot cheaper!)
