We are a group of parents working with Lambeth and the National Autistic Society to set up a secondary school for children on the autism spectrum. Focus will be on skills for life through active partnership with the community - eg colleges, mainstream schools, charities and local business. If you have an interest, we would love to hear from you.

Think Arsenic is possibly discussing what the provision proposed initially and what it actually looks - seems many fears expressed by people on this thread were well founded.

Yes exactly.

Just a howl of disappointment that another provision that promised to cater for HFA, hasn't materialised.

We know so many DC struggling alongin mainstream miserable or in cumbersome, unsettling split placements.

I followed the Vanguard from early on and clearly remember provision for all abilities being promisied. I was fighting DS's case at the time and was sad he was just a couple of years too old to benefit.

Looked it up again early this morning thinking it might be a possible for a Y5 DC we know in outer London, whose mum is searching for secondary transfer. Alas not.

Sorry I wasn't clear I was reanimating an old thread with an update.
