We had our initial assessment today from social services. i actually missed her visit so she took the info over the phone, we now need a core assesment, which has to be done inside 35 days. The good news is we have been assigned a student social worker alongside a regular social worker so she is really keen to get things done. But at least its started.
It was really funny at one point, she was asking about sleep patterns and i said, he doesnt really ahve one, we use chloral hydrate, but like last night he had seizures every 5 mins and was choking. Un beknown to me, she then moved on to the next section (called alcohol and substance mis use) and said, what about alcohol- to which i said 'well weve never tried it with Harry but if you think it will work, ill give anything a go to get some sleep'. She didnt see the joke but it amused me.
