New risk assessment on DS means you can't sit in front or beside him, you can't kneel beside or in front of him. You have to approach from behind with caution and keep your distance etc etc and they aren't joking!!

Plus he has an old scar from open heart surgery that lately he's been scratching to the point it's bleeding, but it's also red on the inside, his heart isn't fully repaired and does have a large patch as well as restructure, should I be worried?

TIA

I would get the scar checked out devient incase there is an infection.

He may be scratching it because it is irritating him?

I don't think the scar would affect his heart but an infection would cause his body to have to work hard to fight an infection or high temperature etc x
