And they think tey ay have tapped the cause of his extreme anger: asocial age of 3-4, and a language age of 10! (he's 6).

BIBIC trip went well; we're concentrating on the violece after him injuring me last week, so they taught me safe restraint as well as other stuff- and they are going to try to go to visit his school! Yay!

I always come away feeling empowered.

I don't know what BIBIC is but it sounds like you are learning from this and it's a good experience for you.

Thats great news PC, and you are getting nearer to helping Sam by understanding what causes his behaviour, pleased for you

BIBIC sound really helpful, I got as far as phoning them for their information pack but never got back to them, hopefully CAMHS can help with my ds's aggression, if not I'll give BIBIC a go, sounds like you're getting a lot out of them. Great that they're going to visit your ds's school.

Yes BIBIC are good- there's only 2 famillies at the welsh centre at a time, so you feel really cossted and you get a say in the targets that are set. Sam loves it there too, which helps a lot. - it's almost a respite for us.

I would definitely recommend anyone to at elast have the free assessment interview.

The basic format for the 2 days were: I got to say how the program ahd went and what i would like to achieve over a coffee in the familt room
Sam and I did some activities (telling stories from photos etc)
We had lunch
more games and puzzles
Sam bounced on trampoline whilst I chatted to dietician

Day 2- DH and Harry came as all the family welcome (Stirling at school). We went through findings from day before, had a SALT assessment, lunch, chatted about all the results then we went to the gym (sam v v fond of trampoline) and learned the program for next 6 months.

Peachyclair, that's great. I hadn't managed to describe how BIBIC makes me feel, but 'empowered' is exactly right. And 'cossetted'!
