Equality Act: new provisions come into force

See here.

Schools have long been required to make reasonable adjustments to avoid placing pupils at substantial disadvantage but have been exempted
from the duty to provide auxiliary aids and services.

The Equality Act 2010 changes this and the provision making this change entered into force on 1 September.

This IPSEA leaflet sets out the nature of the duty and its possible application.
