We are getting referral to Ed Psychologist - any tips?

We are starting on looking into schools for our DD (2.8 with GDD) I'd like to know of anything I should be looking out for in terms of being able to assess whether this person -who I gather will be influential in our lives- is doing what they should be and how well they are doing it.
Any advice and experience would be really helpful

Have you applied for a statement? Is this visit as part of statutory assessment?

I ask because it will depend on the reason for the visit. If it is a general visit, then in our case, they just visited to see ds1 and talk to
us about our options etc, re nursery. I am not sure what happens on the visit as part of SA.

Yes its for discussing options in terms of schools, not a statement just yet.
