Wilf has had a really good idea for when he gets angry!!!

He wants me to tell you that he has a snow globe and when he gets angry he shakes it!!!! I thought it was a fab idea and worth passing on!!!

That's a good idea. when DS2 gets angry he shakes DS3... I'll try a snow globe!

DD used to use a purple plush toy to "squeeze all the crossness into", but toys aren't allowed in school (even though "Mr Purple Man" was always her angry helper, and never ever used as a toy - bought purposely for this and she only ever saw it as this, but some kids commented in school).

Now, she uses a stress ball (engineering/construction hard hat - a marketing gimmick) and squeezes that instead, which does also help. And it can just sit in her schoolbag until its needed too.

Great idea Wilf, Dd3 has one of those. She also has a stress ball.

My only problem is making sure she has something to shake/squeeze when she needs it.

Yesterday I got in the way of her anger and got an elbow in the stomach

My DD just yells at me and throws things. I'm sure she enjoys that much more than a snowglobe(which she would probably smash). Glad to hear it works.

I too fear the snow globe would go hurtling past someones head or through a window-in fact I know it would.Glad it works for you though!
