MedicalEd, How is your dd?

Hi Star,
I post under Sleepstarved for personal stuff, and this one NN for more work type things. (completely outed myself now)
I have got some updates and must get on the board and tell you all the developments, all happened v fast, some bad news, some good, but at least we have answers.
Right now, I am trying to get a handle on statements and people losing support, Editor showing an interest...
Am I being naughty and should have posted this in media requests? But the SEN gang wouldn't see it there surely...

I rather think the real issue is to consider whether the multi layered system of 'support' (aka the special needs industry) already in place for children with SEN serves any purpose whatsoever beyond a remit to ensure its longevity.

Well certainly. So SALT has been removed? So what? What were the benefits that are no longer? More to the point, what 'out one's' are no longer achievable as a result?

Therapy by definition, does not equal outcomes and ime if you spent half the time chasing provision and actually spent it learning what you can do yoursel instead........

Outcomes

StarlightMcKenzie · 09/09/2012 17:05

Half the time THAT.

Btw I'm not implying therapists themselves are useless, but that the method of delivery of provision is useless.
