my two girls went to a special needs youth club last night, and it was sooo fab, they had a great time (so did i!)it was just so lovely to see them with some of their school mates enjoying themselves and being fully accepted for who they are, the best bit was when they paid thier subs, they had to write their names down, and it really didn't matter that their writing was big cos so was everyone elses

Awwww! It sounds great. :)

Is it run by the parents or is it funded elsewhere?

This sounds like an excellent idea!

Glad they enjoyed themselves (and that you did too, of course!!!)

That's so great .. these activities are so good for them .. unfortunately they seem to be few and far between.

The local council run/fund it, they go bowling & other trips too, now my girls are coming up to 12 we are struggling to find stuff for them, they can no longer go to the summer playscheme that they have been to for the last two years cos they are too old Shock
