Hi DD saw a doctor last week after her speech therapist referred her, the doctor told me that she is being reffered to SALT a ed pych and gave me her house number and mobile as she wants DD to be seen within a month and If I have not heard in 3 weeks to call her. She advised me that she is reccommending DD attend a school with classes of no more than 8 pupils that she also be allowed to attend with a nappy.

My questions are will a school with no more than 8 pupils per class a special needs school? or just a mainstream school with a special class? secondly if they can only take 8 per class is DD likely to have a long wait? and will the other children in her class also have disablilties? Also can someone tell me or give me a link as to what SALT is please?

SALT is a Speech And Language Therapist.

A class of 8 could be either a special school or a mainstream school with an ASD unit.
