Any recommendations? Am getting twitchy so think we are going to need one. SOS SEN seem to think will need one if am going to appeal DS1 proposed statement.

David Urani is in Bristol, so not too far if you're S/E Wales - and he'll travel in any case. He is very good and very well respected. Not cheap though.

If applicable, it is important imo that you find one who has some specialism/expertise/knowledge of what you're asking for, so their report can support you with that. Eg we used David as he is very knowledgable about ABA (which we were asking for). So if you feel ds has specific needs which haven't been met in the proposed statement, make sure your EP has knowledge in those areas.

Thanks bialystock will look him up. Want to concentrate on DS and how his aspergers affects the way he learns etc. I have been looking at our little bit of savings today, don't think they are going to be there for long!

Starfish, It might be worth contacting the National Autistic Society - they may hold a list of EPs. I know they have lists of other professionals such as psychiatrists/ clinical psychologists.

Thanks pink will give them a call and see if they do have a list.
