DS Has Been Invited To A Birthday Party!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

He has come home with a party invitation in his bag... sob.. he is in Y1 at mainstream and has NEVER been invited to a party before. I started a thread about it once and lots of people has similar experiences with SN kids in mainstream. I am so happy he has finally been invited to one. A little boy called Daniel.. bless!!!

I know the feeling. My ds had his first birthday invite last year and I posted on it because we were both grinning from ear to ear when I dropped him off. I am sure some parents take this for granted and maybe even get tired of them but to kids who don't get the invites often, they mean the world ( and to the moms, indescrible joy) Enjoy!

fab news :) my DS got invited to his best mate's house today, well his mum came up and asked if it was ok and said she would arrange a day with me for ds to go to her house for dinner :)

I sent the RSVP bit in today with a note to Daniel's mum, checking it's ok for me to go along too. I had better stop going on about it for a bit, at least in front of Alex, as it's on the 25th and each time I mention it, Alex thinks he is going to Daniel's party 'now'!

Aaah . I hope he enjoys himself - and that once he has been to one party, other children catch on and invite him, too.
