Hi all, have posted previously about my 3 and a half year old son who is now 12 months into a 20 month waiting listed to be assessed on the NHS at the autistic diagnostic service. Paed has diagnosed him autistic but will not officially "label" him as he his progressing in some areas. We have decided to spend our savings and get him privately assessed as well as waiting for the NHS service and I am wondering if anyone else has gone down the private route and what are the pro's and cons.
