Epsom salts bath. How much? How often? And where do you buy yours?

Am starting to look into diet and supplements for ds and I've seen Epsom salts mentioned a lot on here. I've looked up info on them but am unclear on the recommended amount to use in a bath and how often.

Out of interest, what are the bath salts meant to do/ help with?

I think they are for magnesium which is absorbed through the skin. Magnesium is used by the body for many functions as well as being relaxing for mind and muscles too.

Somewhere I read 2 cups every second day.

I wouldn't start with that much though - I'd build up to it.

I buy 25kg sack online. Google Epsom bath salts......

However, I now give my DC magnesium instead of bath salts. Then I know they're getting the right amount.......

Or you can use a magnesium spray...

Thank I'll start off slow. He won't take capsules or liquids so I have to sneak it in somehow. I already rub fish oil into his feet while he sleeps so not sure he'd appreciate being sprayed too poor sod!
