Well, after doing all the things in the title and getting Privte reports from SALT & EP (full cognitive), the Principal EP at the LEA did everything he promised to do.

I am now working with the School's EP, rather than some random, but kind one. She is also going to meet with DD next week in school Grin

I finally got that all important referral I needed for DD to the EP service - DD will be bringing the appropriate form home for me to sign tonight Grin

DD will be ear-marked when she transfers to High School in September - she will also get more visits due to needing to know these things in advance

We are getting a referral to LASC

Can't think of anything else at the moment but i'm so happy for DD. This should make the move so much smoother for her.

I am so pleased I made a nuisance of myself regularly, as (in my case) it's paid off

I can't think of anything else right now but will add to this as I remember.

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks all, I'm really pleased. . . Although, I'm not too confident with school and think they're keeping documentsfrom me.

DD has brought home 1 double sided sheet for the referral to EP (is this even right?) On the back, and amongst other things school have filled in "DD has been supported by LSA and Pastoral Care Manager" She HAS NOT!!

And . . "DD emotional wellbeing at home (yes, it's highlighted) is a cause for concern by her parents. Her behaviour in school is very different from her behaviour at home" It's not about behaviour, it's about her ways FGS!!

Now on the LASC Referral Form . . . School have put "Principal EP at LEA is requesting this service involvement and assessment of DD needs"

Reason for referral sheet i'm a little confused with, so here goes:

Language & Difficulties - "see afasic (what?) checklist and reports provided by parents" They have not listed full cognitive assessment, which states dyslexia, just SALT assessment - is this right?

Social & Communication - "see questionnaire attached" There was no questionnaire with it???

ASD/Aspergers - "See ASDS questionnaire requested by EP not attached to school"

Behaviour - "In school DD follows classroom/playground routines very well and appears settled & happy. However, her behaviour at home is very different - see parental views section

Other - "DD spends time with LSA following a period when she was reluctant to attend school. She has developed a good relationship with LSA. She also has support from Pastoral Care Manager" . . She doesn't see PCM and only see's LSA when school have time, even though they agreed daily.

Additional Information - DD has a very caring nature, she is always willing to help her peers in school.

She particularly enjoys dancing, making routines and performing them in school. She tries hard with all activities in school curriculum.

On the referral checklist they have ticked a box to say she is on an iep/ibp - I didn't know and have never seen it?! Also, it says there is a LASCS questionnaire - I haven't had a say in this and I know what it looks like as I filled one in for DS not long ago - why can't I see it??

Sorry for the huge post but i'm confused as to why they've left certain questionnaires out, when they will be really important.

Oh and it also says she is on SA . . I didn't know this either????

Does anyone know if I should have a copy of this iep/ibp?

Also, shouldn't she be on SA+ rather than SA as there are external agencies involved?

Why didn't I fill in the lasc questionnaire, like I did with my ds?

Sorry to bump but I don't want to sign it knowing they have got full control of filling questionnaires in.

Just a little update:

I spent ages with the EP and she has said from what I explain ASD is definitely the way to go. She was going to go and see SENCO, then go into the class to watch DD and then do some work with her.

However, I have since found out that the EP did not see DD Angry Angry Angry I definitely think it's alot to do with the school as when I queried why DD didn't see EP the SENco said "oh, why, was she supposed to be" yet the EP said "it was beyond her control" and gave me the impression it was because of the school!!

Fuming is an understatement and they have arranged another date BUT it doesn't answer why she was not seen on the date that was arranged. I do not believe that SENco thought EP was only there to see me. Why would she do that?!

Anyway, i'm still waiting for things to happen and don't have anything to tell high school tonight when I collect DD from induction day.
