does anyone use them for a child with autism?
if so, what make do you have?

we tried the bose QC 15 and they're fantastic, absolutely amazing noise cancellation, but still can hear people talking.

but v. pricey. so wondered if there was anything aimed specifically at kids that worked as well?

Hi you can get loads on ebay, cant remember the make but ours were 12.99 plus postage.

thanks, do they actively cancel the noise or are they just ear defenders?

DS wears Peltor army surplus ones when it gets just too loud for him.

There are loads of bright coloured Peltor ones on Amazon for SN kids.

The ones we got do cancel the noise, ds uses them at school when things get too noisy.

I've looked at them now and they are EDZ Kids make.

my DP uses them for his job (muso) and has the bose noise cancelling headphones as they have the best reputation.

I know what you mean, you can still kind of hear dull noises, but they do cancel out a lot more than ear defenders don't they?

yeah i've heard that about the bass, but we just want them for their noise cancellation properties lol
lockets dh uses them (he's a sound guy) and they seem to be well regarded.

i was watching on ebay but they were still going for a lot, and i'm kind of loathe to spend too much in case they get broken

will take a look at the goldring ones, thanks :)
