Kept ds off preschool AIBU?

Ds 4, woke up late today and needing oodles of cuddles. He said in a wobbly voice "is it preschool today"? And when I said yes he cried. He was so sad and when plane went by outside he ran and hid from it. He said he's wants to stay home and cuddle mummy today. He has just been dx HFA, is this to be expected and a "sensitive day?". Normally I'd have put it down to having a bug coming and even considered making him go to preschool. Today I kept him home as felt if he's feeling ap upset over going, and they are doing his favourite topic Space. WWYD?

It's tough, really. On one hand, I wouldn't want DS2 to think that it was going to be a daily thing, but I don't like sending him when he's distressed either.

It is tough. That was my dilemma. I think if he was playing with toys or watching tv I'd have taken him to preschool it he'd literally only just woken.
