Has anyone found the above book helpful. DD is still hardly verbally interacting with peers without adult support despite numerous social skill groups at the child development centre / school for the past two and a half years Sad. She will be six soon.

Forgot to mention her receptive language is on track but she is slightly behind with her expressive language and interacts better with adults.

Is that Mary Lynch Barbera book? I have it, just haven't read it yet.

But I can say, we do VB with ds (5yo) and I don't regret starting it for a single second. He has made progress that I would not have thought possible. Peer interaction in particular was our biggest concern when he was 3yo. All his difficulties have reduced, but probably none more so than the peer interaction problem.

If you want to read more, try Robert Schramm book on VB - it was until recently called Educate Towards Recovery but has changed name slightly - but amazon search will find it.

And ask/pm me if you want to know any more about how a programme works etc.
