Hi sorry not been on special needs for a while but after a near useless paed appt need some advice. Ds is 4 and due to start school in september.

Paed basically advised that she can understand why I believe ds to have dcd but that cannot be assessed until he is seven. That despite her stating that he has hypermobility we cannot access physio or ot. Have checked re this and there is no ot provision in this area for dcd. Also despite there being social issues is likely that will receive a diagnosis for his hypermobility only. This is despite preschool providing a report advising of his issues not just being connected to motor function but following / understanding instructions etc.

Not sure what to do now ds just lay on the floor through out the whole appt refusing to interact or even look at her. She will see him again in 6 months time and that is basically it because that's normal behaviour for a 4 year old?

Believe this to be a pct issue and need help as to what to do next.

I do have a good gp and aware that Sheff
