Hi all thought I'd kick us off!! Been busy week here! Dd1 has ear infection so she's whingy and miserable. DH been signed off work with stomach ulcer and hernia. Dd2 had docs and they want to test for coeliacs disease so blood test on tues is going to be fun!!

Also had meeting with preschool where dd2 will go in Sept and they said they will get her funding for a 1:1 not a problem!! Also said fine if she doesn't need it but it will be there as a back up!! Fab!!

Ben10NeverAgain · 11/05/2012 20:06

sorry for spellings!

devientenigma · 11/05/2012 20:09

no, he goes to a couple on a fri for tea.

UnChartered · 11/05/2012 20:10

poor DS and them too

will you have to collect him or has he settled at all?

SallyBear · 11/05/2012 20:11

Ben. Harvester is way better than tea in IKEA! That's where we were and back by 6.50! I let DH drive Beyonce home - with me obviously keeping an eye on his clutch work....GrinGrin

devientenigma · 11/05/2012 20:14

we normally collect him at 8.30 so trying to hang on.

UnChartered · 11/05/2012 20:18

i don't know much about the system you've got DS in dev but aren't they having him over for tea to give you a bit of a breather? what's the point of calling you if they don't need you to pick him up right away?

this is a genuine question btw, i used to work in a community scheme to support adults with LDs and if we called their primary carers/parents it was never to tell them we couldn't cope Confused

devientenigma · 11/05/2012 20:21

this couple is employed by direct payments, however I have had calls in the past by people employed by council for his aggressiveness.

Still don't have a referral to local maternity services and am 36 weeks pg.

The reason?

I have to book an appt with the GP for a pg test and to 'work out my dates'!

Has anyone read Sophie's world? Where things get more and more abstract and wierd throughout the book.

I might have to change my name to SophieMcKenzie!

iwanttogetoffnow · 11/05/2012 21:38

Today he drank out of an open cup I was so shocked an burst into tears!!! Recently found out he also loves roller coasters and log flume! Sensory?

Hi all - you're probably all tucked up in bed now, but just got home a bit ago from evening out at friend's out. Lovely friend insisted I come over and enjoy some chat and wine. It's been such a rotten week, and she knew I needed a break. Gotta love her! DH stayed home with the boys.

I'll have to go back and read through the thread now, but hope everyone is doing well! Have a lovely weekend!!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 11/05/2012 23:42

Hi, I'm home from night out. We need a drunk thread. Smile

Sorry to hear of your difficult week, dev. Sad

Star, it sounds like they are a bit obsessive about their rules. Grin you do realise you don't have those early pregnancy hormones in your system any more? Pregnancy test may well be negative! Grin

Iwant, what great progress. Smile

See you all next week.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 12/05/2012 00:11

Hope someone is still up. Got internet connection back after a week and want to catch up with everyone.
Chundle good news about 1:1. Sorry about dd and dh. It is more than twice as bad when more than 1 of the family are ill at once.
Imogen read your post about OT. You could do without another useless professional in your life right now. How is DS after the bullying incident?
Creatovar glad uni work is going well.
Sign my Ds is 15 and still uses 'I'm bored' for when he can't explain how he really feels. So be prepared for hearing it for many years to come.
Moose sorry you have an ear infection they are really miserable. Hope you make the festival. Good that school are taking Ds's hypermobility seriously.
Attila congratulations on your anniversary.
Lollipop glad your BF is out of hospital hope he continues to make progress.
Balvoc sorry your still feeling unwell. It is just so wearing.
Ellen terrible about your friend's house. Has she got somewhere to go?
Lisad hope your dd enjoys her sleepover. Well done to her for trying it?
bochead wow to the organisation. Makes me tired just reading it.
Dev how was Ds when he got home?
Iwant great news on the talking.
Star !!!!!????? (nothing else to say is there)
Main news here is that I think I have found a place to suit Ds to do A levels in Sept 2013. He is fairly positive even though it means boarding. Now all I have to do is persuade the LA to fund it!

pinkorkid · 12/05/2012 00:16

Evening all to anyone who is still awake. Sorry for those who have had nasty infections/operations/ useless ot assessments. Envy at bochead's organisational spurt. Nice to hear some of you have escaped for at least part of the evening. Sorry you didn't get a proper break tonight dev. Great new about ds' talking Iwant. Looking forward to the next chapter in the star's pg test was negative story. Sorry I can't stay to chat dd is upset with sore skin after scratching frenzy - difficult to control eczema. One piece of good news this week - one of the charities I contacted has offered ds an initial assessment next week hopefully leading to some counselling, while we hang in there to be seen by camhs. Such a relief to hear someone react with "now I've heard your story, I think we'll be able to offer you an appointment sooner" rather than the repeated "there is nothing we can do, come back in x months time" and the somewhat condescending "it's all about keeping a positive attitude, you know". No actually it's about not offering a satisfactory service ...

signandsmile · 12/05/2012 07:19

Morning all.... sign waves back at Iwantto get, that is fab news about your ds! am thrilled! Grin.

We are off for another of those Cheapie out of the paper breaks first weekend in the summer hols (Pontins at Brean Sands).

Badvoc · 12/05/2012 08:42

Just realised....I have namechanged and not told you all!!!

Its me...becaroooo!>
