ds 8 has has Karate lessons, failure, he was told not to bother coming back after telling the instructor it was boring, well he did ask.

Private Piano lessons, the teacher couldn't cope with him, although he is now having lessons in school.

Beavers, ds couldn't cope with the noise etc.

Finally got to the top of the waiting list for 121 swimming lessons, ds had his first lesson yesterday, he was fine until she tried to get him to float on his back, totally meltdown screaming the pool down. The teacher was totally unfazed by him, and told me that they had a very interesting conversation about the chemicals in the water.

He loves swimming but despite taking him often I haven't managed to get him to swim independently. I am hoping this is the start of something good, and will be looking for a SN swimming club.

That sounds great! DS (AS - aged 5) is about to have his first one-to-one swimming lesson next week. He's had about a year trying (and failing!) in a group situation where he's done nothing but spin - cue lots of sharp intakes of breath and dark looks from the other parents.... His ever-so-patient group teacher rang me up a few days ago to say that a one-to-one slot has become free - there are some nice people out there :)
