Suggestions for a 3-wheeler buggy for 8+years?

Any recommendations please? We're currently looking at the Independence Max, but would love to hear of any other models that have been successful.

Dd is 8, slim and tall if that helps with suggestions. The buggy needs to be able to deal with rough terrain - we have had a Mountain Buggy Terrain XL which has been fantastic, so something similar would be ideal.

Thanks :)

We have the freedom and we love it. It does both rough terrain and smooth. The company are brilliant, you have to ring them first and they will go through everything with you and tell you which one is best, they ask things like your childs height and even clothes size.

sorry to hijack, I have used the independance with DS and it is quite cumbersome to push and turn, however I am only 5ft and DS is a bit heavy for it, I am after a freedom but people keep putting me off as it is supposed to be taller and longer. Although longer it's not as high as the independance. Do you think I will manage with the freedom, KUWTJ ??

One of the kids on DD1's bus has one of these and it seems good so it's what I'm aiming for when DD1 (also 8, also growing out of her MB XL!) moves on.

We have the independence and its fab. I use it on rough ground and on the beach. I working my way up to jogging with it.

I would say its a perfect height for me (5ft7) and a dream to push, I dont have any probs turning it as long as DD is sitting back if she is tantruming and bent down over the wheels its not so easy. But it dwarfs my friend who is 5ft. The seat is huge for DD who is 4 but had outgrown anything else leg wise esp hip to knee length. For us it was leg length rather than height that made us move up sooner rather than later. Hang on your still using a MB XL. I tried to put DD into a friends the other week she was having none of it as felt too small. I find it much easier to push and steer than a MB double with half SN iykwim. But phone them, they are fab with advice

Hope that helps

Thanks everyone. SNP have recommend the freedom to us, so its between that and the Delichon Delta. We might try and make a trip to Hants to try the Delta.

Anyone want to buy a MB Terrain XL :o?

dev the freedom is long and wide. A friend of mine has had a go and she is 5ft, she was fine, she said she was really surprised how easy it was to use, she has the liberty and it is no taller than that. It is amazingly light and with the swivel wheels it is really easy to manoeuvre.
