hi Ds has just gone to bed 20 mins ago the earliest he has been for most of the holidays. Any end in sight for you?

devientenigma · 14/04/2012 03:11

lol, get to bed!!!!

nope looks like an all nighter, he was in respite the past 2 nights and by accounts he's had a stressful time. So refusing bed, screaming, shouting, crying etc

Just going but I have to chill a bit first or I can't sleep. Feel for you at least all Ds does is chant his OCD rituals. Will he sleep tomorrow or will you have to keep going then too?

devientenigma · 14/04/2012 03:20

I know what you mean about your own chill time. Hopefully tomorrow night he will be over it and get to bed for 1am at the latest, which is his usual. All depends if it's all still bothering him.

Did you manage to get any sleep Devient?

devientenigma · 14/04/2012 10:09

I did thanks, managed to get him to bed for 5am. He's still there and I'm contemplating do I wake him or not? Just thinking about tonight. However dh thinks it's going to be a few extra late nights due to how stressed he seemed. You get sick of the after midnight thing never mind later again. Such as life.

Ds went at 6am, he got up at noon. He'll get up at 8am tomorrow to watch the Grand Prix so will settle around 2 or 3 am tomorrow. 6 hours is incredibly good for ds just need to adjust when they start really.

working his sleep around his tv, insanity?

wouldn't mind it as much if ds hadn't been as stressed, he's a light sleeper anyway, goes late, wakes early and up quite a lot in between for various reasons. It's the huge meltdowns through the night when sound travels etc, just waiting for an asbo lol

Yes fully in control in fact because he doesn't need to sleep if he wanted he'd just keep going all night so as to watch the TV he wanted. He's pretty happy with life at the minute though so he is very quiet during the night, only when he's stressed is the no sleeping a pain tbh because he just can't stick to the night time rules then.

Bugger - if I'd known you guys were on here in the wee small hours I'd have joined in.

4am before I got any sleep and 6.30am for DS.

Insomnia is rife around these parts.
