Mummy I need to change my brain-ADHD

please help me decide how to handle this. I have a gorgeous little ds who is 4.5 years old. The best way to describe him is a super hyper whizzy puppy. He makes noises a lot of the time and just behaves really excitable and silly. Sometimes it's difficult to get normal conversation out of him. I have had enough today and have felt really frustrated and cross with him, so regrettably I shouted at him and was very impatient.

This evening at bedtime I was talking to him and I said I'm sorry for being grumpy today and he said he was sorry for being excitable. Then he said he couldn't help it and he needed to change his brain. That made me feel so sad.

The thing is I'm not sure how I can help. Obviously there are strong indicators for ADHD, but other behaviour doesn't fit the mould at all. He sleeps and eats well, loves listening to stories and isn't aggressive at all. His teacher has said he is silly/excitable but feels he is too young to worry about it yet, and just see how time goes. My OH refuses to acknowledge its out of the ordinary boisterous behaviour.

What would you do? Does this sound like ADHD? Why did you get a diagnosis? Apcan you recommend any websites or books?

My DD is 5 and has ADHD. Her behaviour temperament and concentration levels have completely changed for the better since I implemented "the brain plan diet" it is a book by doctor Robin Pauc. And also by introducing triple potency omega vitamin supplements and zinc and magnesium. Please have a look at the Tinsley House support thread on here for some great advice.

Thank you replying. What supplements does your child take?

Floradix Kindervital that's a multivitamin with no artificial sweeteners, Floradix saludynam that has zinc, magnesium and calcium and Barleans ultra EPA for the omega. DD on them since Jan and I swear it is like having a different child. The school actually asked me "I take it you are now medicating Dd?"Grin

my mother used a big plate of spagetti or rather 3 to make me see that just cause mine works differently isnt a bad thing
