thats it really, dh and i have been up half the night with ds and his chesty cough. i am on the last stint before going back to bed at 5.45 for my lie-in!

in the middle of the night dh said to me, 'you are amazing' (Blush) and i think the same probably goes for everyone on this board.

Thanks hope everyone has a good day, and gets spoilt a little bit.

aw, hazeyjane, that's nice that your dh said that to you. Always nice to hear, isn't it ?

I still remember when I was quite ill (and so were both boys) and DH was doing everything that I normally do, and he sat down exhausted at one point and said "my god, it's HARD to be you! how in the world do you get it all done?" Grin Nice to get a bit of recognition.

This morning he's at work, and boys are all over the place. I'm worn out as DS2 was up a lot with his asthma during the night (I didn't have DH help out with it as he had to work this morning). Can't wait til he gets home and I can relax a bit! He's promised that he will take over everything, so I can just veg. Best gift ever, IMO. Grin

Happy Mother's Day to all! Thanks

Happy Mother's Day to the most wonderful bunch of Mummies I know (well sort of know) I hope you get 5 minutes to yourself to eat chocolate and smile.

Am waiting patiently in bed whilst Dh and DD prep my breakfast there is pure bedlam going on in kitchen so my lie in has been abandoned and I did hear something smash followed by shouting am getting quite anxious!

Ineedalife · 18/03/2012 09:06

Sorry for those who have been up a lot in the night.

leonie, that was sweet of your hubby, mine finds saying it with words very hard too. And I am supposed to be the autistic one !!.

Dp is also working today, Dd3 made me get up at 8.30 so i could supervise her making me a cup of tea. Bless herSmile.

She is now stropping around downstairs because i wont get up again to toast
crumpets, and SHE IS HUNGRY! Lol.

Have a nice day everyoneSmile.

Ineedalife · 18/03/2012 09:09

Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Hope those who have been up in the night get a chance to rest at some point today.

DS came in and snuggled into my back at 7.30 am. I shouldn't complain because I had a pretty good nights sleep, but it was a bit early Smile. He went out and DD came in wanting me to get up to look at her present for me LOL. DH said it's because they love me so much. I gave up on a lie in and got up to have some of DHs lovely homemade bread Grin.

My Mum has invited us to go over there after church which will be great. DH has promised to phone MIL and is picking up flower arrangement from my brother to my Mum Hmm. He's on the sound desk at church so left ages ago.

I took my Mum out for an early Mother's Day a week ago and we had a lovely day together Grin Grin.

Thanks and Wine for everyone.

Can I say an extra special Happy Mothers Day to all of you whose children will never call them "Mum" or write a Mother's Day card or let their Mum have a lie in. Thanks to all of you!

DS (HF asd) had written a card from him and another one from his sister and presented me with lovely hand made chocolates (not hand made by him i might add - he would have eaten it all in the process). DD who is 17 is blissfully unaware of what it is all about - she has her brother do deal with it all for her!!!!

starfish71 · 18/03/2012 11:30

Happy Mother's Day! DS2 gave me a big hug and said 'happy valentine's day!' :) and gave me a lovely card he had made me in school.

DS1 came up and gave me a hug, didn't say anything, made my morning! :)

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 18/03/2012 11:45

I was woken up by DS2 complaining really loudly that he didn't want to go into the dining room to sign a card, he was in the middle of watching a YouTube video! Lovely DS1 had taken the hint (of me giving him some money and telling him to go shopping) and bought me a Lindt gold bunny. No breakfast in bed but a half hour cuddle with all three boys. Not bad for the first mothers day as a single mum!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 18/03/2012 11:58

DS3 has just made me cry, he's spent an hour building a Minecraft display that says 'I

Happy Mothers Day to one and all - been a bit of a quiet affair in this house - card from dd1 and ds2 BUT the best bit of all was ds2 waking me up this morning with a perfect "Happy Mothers Day" (he couldn't talk at all this time last year) - apparently he has been practising with his 1-1 TA at school all week. V v v proud of him and it made my day Grin

Happy mothers day everyone Thanks

Woken up before 7 by baby with a huge grin which makes my day everyday :)
Dh got me a huge bouquet of flowers and chocolates. He then fed the kids pancakes while I enjoyed a coffee and took the boys out while baby taking a nap so piece and quiet for once! The meal out was an icing on the cake and we are all in bed now digesting it and snoozing off before heading swimming.

Sons made me some homemade cards which were so sweet! All in all lovely day.

Hope every had a lovely and pampering day x

Happy mothers day everyone. I have been hiding away while DH and the children cooked dinner - Lots of loud clanking and raised voices - but I have resisted and stayed away. Just been called to eat and looking forward to Wine
