Well no one had started so guess its me tonight.

We spend the first half of the week preparing dd1 for her first overnight school trip! She got back today, said she had an ok time and as soon as out of school burst into tears :( she seems good and her social story really helped.

Dd2 had SN dentist who was lovely.
Work has been busy
I'm shattered as always but overall a fairly good week :)

How's you lot?

Hi all.
Lisa that's a great achievement for your dd to go on a overnight school trip. Well done to her.
Becaroo sorry that you have been unwell especially with Dh away.
Imogen sorry that you have even more to deal with. I am sad about the attitudes to dyslexia in Scotland but not surprised. My mum is a retired Scottish primary school teacher and in spite of her years of experience and several family members with varying degrees of dyslexia she still doesn't really believe in it whatever lipservice she might pay.
Star all the best with the move. When will that be in relation to the new dc's arrival?
Lollipop hope the shoot goes well.
News here. I went to see a residential AS further education college for DS's A levels this week. I am really unsure what to do for the best.
DS had his annual statement review today. All seems to be going well on the whole and school support continues to be good. At the end the head of his support unit told me she was doing one of her regular disability awareness sessions with DD year 7 class and was impressed with her helpful and thoughtful contributions.

Hi all, its been an interesting week here. I have started working with Dd3 on making choices, when the choices both involve something she doesnt want to do. Iyswim.

It has made for a couple of interesting moments, including her yelling " YOU ARE A MEAN OLD WITCH." Across the landing ay me the other morning.Grin.

I have to admit i cackled.quietly and turned on the shower so i didnt hear the tantrum afterwards.

Hope you all have a good weekendSmile.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/03/2012 21:36

You cackled quietly, you are a mean old witch, aren't you? Wink

lisad123 · 16/03/2012 21:40

pmsl @ "you are a mean old witch"

Sorry Grin

Becaroooo · 16/03/2012 21:44

Is it just me or have there been a lot of really vile threads on MN recently???

Awful one about wohms and sahms and what they do...another poster moaning about how much help a neighbour is getting from GPs!!!

Ugh!!!

Perhaps its just me - I have been feeling "the rage" more than usual this week due to hormonal horrors!

Ineedalife · 16/03/2012 21:45

Oh yes ellen, i find mean old witchiness is the only way to get things done sometimesGrinGrin.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/03/2012 21:46

Beca, I avoid AIBU, and find MN to be a lovely, fluffy place. Grin

lisad123 · 16/03/2012 21:55

Quite a few trolls an I'm pretty sure the position of the moon effects the witches on mn Smile

Hi all, we've had a pretty good week, although still having problems getting school to take our ABA consultant's views on board. I've not been about much apart from the odd lurk, but today, for me, was an all time low on MN. DH has suggested a week's sabbatical and I think he's probably right. I will return!

SallyBear · 17/03/2012 00:18

I'm still fairly new to MN, but I love connecting with people in the same place as me. Makes me feel normal. Lol!

My great news this week was that DS3 has been awarded HR for both care and mob. Backdated as well! Still can't believe it!

LollipopViolet · 17/03/2012 02:10

I went to bed at 10.20. It's now 2.10, and I've not been to sleep yet. Brain won't switch off and I'm up in 4 hours :( this shoot will be interesting...

Ineedalife · 17/03/2012 09:32

Sally great news on the dla.Smile.

Lollipop, i hope u managed to get some sleep. I havent been sleeping well lately and it does seriously affect my concentration. Good luck with the filming.

2old2beamum · 17/03/2012 14:20

Brilliant week DS deafblind did on body sign language for "good boy" so proud.
Your mean old witch made me laugh reminded me of DD ( Downs) came home from school at Halloween and said her teacher said she could go to the party as an ugly old bitch!

Ineedalife · 17/03/2012 15:07

Wilson, I hope you are OK, I tend to only stay around the SN board and a couple of other quiet ones, so I usually miss the nasty places.

Please come back when you have had a breakSad.

LollipopViolet · 17/03/2012 18:02

I'm back. Managed about 3 and a half hours of sleep. BUT, filming went well.

and I got to fly a plane for a bit
