CAMHS - report sent to GP - should I have received a copy?

Just that really. Had reports from EP, S&L Therapist, school, Paed, OT, but not CAMHS??

Saw GP on Wednesday about DS, she said "let's see what CAHMS have sent me" and was sat there reading it. She then began the same old rant that I was given at DS old school about making sure I praise DS for what he can do. Do they think that I am completely stupid? DS has very low self esteem and me and DH bend over backwards to make sure he gets positive praise.

CAMHS saw me and DS for about 20 mins. DS old school knew me for around 2 weeks when they began telling me I was too intense with DS, focusing on what he can't do rather than what he can! 1/2 phone call from SENCO telling me how bad I was at dealing with DS. This was day after CAMHS appointment by the way.

Anyway rant over, sorry. Should I have got a copy? Can I ask for one?

Thanks in advance x

Yes, you can ask for one. You are entitled to receive a copy of any Report written re your ds. In future, just ask any Professional that is going to submit a Report, to make sure that you receive a copy.Ideally, you should ask to see the Report first, to check for accuracy, and you can mark on any mistakes.
It is poor form of CAMHS not to send you a copy and you should tell them so.
HTH.

Thanks for your replies. Think I will give them a ring and ask for it.

Yes you should have received a copy.

CAMHS here sent me a copy of any reports to go over and discuss if necessary BEFORE it got sent anywhere else.
