DS3 is going to 5 next month. We have started noticing that he has discovered bouncing, and wondered about getting a trampoline for him for his b'day. Space is an issue as is a sloping garden, so we are thinking probably 8th with a ladder and net. Any brands that mumsnetters would recommend????

I am also thinking of buying on for our ABA session for my 4 years old dd. However, and this is where I would like guidance, has any one ever had one for indoors? Is is safe?
It's winter here and we live on the second floor so outdoor is not an option...

I suppose it depends on how your ceiling are! Anyway my research has led me to understand about the spring count. Fewer springs (48) make it a better spring for younger lighter children as opposed to (60+) which would be better for a heavier person. Also you have to consider how much space to allow etc. Have you given any thought to just a trampette? What about a round gym one made by Reebok for example?

Meant to say- how high your ceilings are. Bloody iPhone!!!

Sallybear 8' would be fine i would think for a little one.
They bounce cos it makes them feel grounded! it's also excellent exercise for them.
My older boy (Fragile X and autism) lost all his weight from bouncing on his trampoline...

I need to get him a new one cos the last one (14') blew over a double garage and ended up 20 feet away in the field over the back, all smashed up Sad
He keeps wandering out there looking for it!

A trampoline is a must here, the best present we ever got for DS (5).

We had a little kids' one from ELC for a few years when DS was little and always used it indoors.

We bought an 8ft trampoline for DS1s 4th birthday and have often said it is the best £100 we have spent. Not sure of brand, just bought it from our local factory store.

He also used to use the junior trampolines indoors to get his bouncing fix, the ones with a square base, handle and elastic rope instead of springs. however he wore through two of the ropes, so I got him a fitness type trampette via Gumtree for £5 and he uses that daily in his bedroom, often the moment he wakes up!

Bought a cheap 8ft, 2nd hand one from e-bay for £30. Was in very good condition. Ds1(8) Aspergers and ds2(3) are on it all the time. One of the best things we have EVER bought.
