After asking since DS was first dx-ed with AS over a year ago for extra help, I was told today that DS has finally been given an IBP as requested by the Ed Psych and put on the SEN register. Finally seems like they are taking his problems seriously :)

Well done.

Have you seen his IBP? Is it any good?

Does he also have an IEP?

Hope that's the start of good news. Smile It'll only be the start, I expect. Next to make sure he's actually getting some appropriate support.

He doesn't have an IEP, but, he has a teacher who is brand new to the school, I raised some issues at a recent parents evening that she will look into in terms of is he actually making progress compared to what were good Level 2 SATS and now being 'average'.
His IBP is good - 3 manageable steps, one of which we have been working on at home for a while so all ties nicely together and will be reviewed termly. States who specifically will be helping him on them in school.
