I am in the process of applying for a grant from Cerebra for some softplay/sensory equipment for Ds2. On the form they ask you to list any additional expenses that you incur as a result of your child's disability. I've listed the daily washing and drying of bedlinen and pyjamas that we have to do because of Ds2's night time wetting, but have no idea how to go about working out how much this costs.

Soooo - being very cheeky, I was wondering if any of you had ever done such a calculation and could let me know the approximate figure? Or failing that, give me some idea of how I can work it out?

TIA

Washing Machine Costs

So assuming a 6kg load and an electricity price of 13p per unit the follow is true-

An A rated washing machine costs 15p (well 14.8p but I?m rounding up) per wash.

A B rated washing machine costs 18p per wash.

A C rated washing machine costs 21p per wash.

A D rated washing machine costs 24p per wash.

I've heard that tumble dryers run at about 10p an hour.... not sure how accurate that is though!
