Got a private prescription for this from ds1's aped last night.

Had 2 quotes from local pharmacies....1 was £260 for 200mls and 1 was £160 for 200mls!!

We sinply cannot afford this along with all his other supplements/therapies etc.

The paed did mention that you can buy it online but am unsure about this...has anyone here done that and if so could you direct me to the site??

Thanks!

Interested reading ....

I saw my son's paed recently and she wouldnt prescribe him melatonin...said it was too expensive etc but that she would refer me to a sleep clinic!! Doesnt she think Ive tried all the low lighting, warm milk and massage stuff lol.

Son is only 6 though ...has ADHD and is on medication which is stopping him from getting to sleep (sometimes till 11pm at night).

Have thought about getting it online but to be honest, Im a bit cautious about it cos in my head Im thinking, if the doc wont give it....

Hi I'm in Leicestershire too and my DD is 4. We get Melatonin on the NHS without any problem. I think you should go back to your doctor.

green They will not prescribe it. PCT have told them they cant prescribe for under 18s (although the cynic in me wonders of over 18s get it either?)

We have a 6 week supply of the 2mg tablets (which ds1 can take no problem thank goodness!) but want to continue for a while longer as it is helping and I am going to work on relaxation techniques/ways to calm him.

Thanks for the link lovely
