Hello
As mentioned on the other thread DS (3.4) has just been diagnosed as on the autism spectrum. He has severe speech delays but has started making progress with a private speech therapist. We did a 2 month course before Christmas and she has advised to see how things developed before carrying on (pre ASD diagnosis). He's also seen a speech therapist and occupational therapist locally with the NHS and is awaiting a Portage assessment.
We're now thinking of getting a nanny or tutor with ASD experience to look after him a couple of days a week. Could anyone recommend any good places to look?
Are there any agencies that would have trained people available?

The NAS has an outreach service that can supply knowledgeable support workers that are paid for on an hourly basis. The problem is that the hourly rate is very high.
