Poo related- undigested food in stools

My DS(2.6) dx ASD started eating solids a few months ago. Since then we have noticed that his stools sometimes contain whole bits of food. He is on Lactulose as he gets constipated every few days. We only give him this very infrequently. I have heard of 'Leaky Gut'. Is that what we have here?

His diet mainly consists of carbs and milk. Very little protein or iron. Has anybody have experience of this and how did you deal with it. Do we need to look at diet/supplements etc?
