But pleased!!

Ellie has been going half a day since Oct with a helper from her SN School. Before Xmas I asked for a full day for January.

The only thing is, her SN School can't spare a helper so I think they are going to pay the mainstream one to provide her with one.

I am worried now as it might be for Wednesday, I won't have met the helper or know who she is.
What if she has no experiance of a SN child?

Am now worried does the mainstream reception teacher know Ellie's needs well enough without the helper from Ellie's SN School? Will the helper know how much to make Ellie do for herself and how much help to give her.

I am even worrying about silly things now, will she realise she may have to change a dirty nappy? if her nose runs that she will have to wipe it?!

I don't want her not to take to her because she might have a pooey nappy!!!

I am pleased she is going a full day though (honestly!!) just after the initial at being pleased, I am worrying. A couple of hours there with a SN Teacher from her own School...fantastic! But a whole day with soembody she and I don't know???

I suppose it has happened so quickly and I won't have had chance to speak to anyone

All you can do is try it. It will probably be fine but its not surprising you're nervous.

sounds so silly really. I go on being worried about her having no one to play with ad talk to her in her SN School, she gets a full day in mainstream and I'm still moaning

I think it's natural to worry about these kinds of things. I know I worried about how ds1 would get on with his LSA and what she would think of him. She turned out to be perfect for him. He no longer has a 1:1 so the LSA now works elsewhere in the school but she still goes out of her way to talk to him and find out how he's doing etc.

Would it help if you wrote down a few notes about Ellie for the new helper?

Ellie is going to start going for a full day 2 weeks tomorow and her SN School have been able to provide somebody from their School to go with her, which is nice

So will leave the worrying now for 2 weeks!!!

Hope it goes really well, my ds did almost a full day last week and will do so each week from now on. It went loads better than expected.
