I sent a polite but firm email last week to dd1 pead as we were refused referral to psychology service and this was months ago and was still awaiting a referral to another service.
I just got an email back, sent at 5.10pm today! Poor woman, hope I didn't spoilt her day Blush

Good, I wonder did the pead worry about the effects on your life by not doing referrals - I think not. So give yourself a pat on the back for being a great mum and getting things done Xmas Grin

I think she probably did worry... and I would guess she has almost no officially allocated time to do necessary but administrative things like referrals.

The beauty of emails is that they bypass the bottlenecks caused by things like the removal of secretarial support. And staff can sort you out from home, on a bank holiday, after normal working hours.
