Is it too early to start this?

It's almost Christmas, no ones doing anything important are they?

coff33pot · 16/12/2011 17:22

Becaroo PASS the Wine I am a friend lol Grin Hope you have a better week and thinks pick up for you. Hows the toes??

Indigo His mother is lovely. I recognised her as she did me. It was a case of knowing her from a distance for years! DH has known Harrys dad for the last 24 years it was uncanny. Has he hands full with 6 children various ages. She did say that Harry really doesnt go anywhere so no wonder he was excited about coming :) Yes about being on the spectrum. Its there and its obvious to me only because his questions, the walking all over the house to get his surroundings. He is accident prone just like DS lol bounce a rubber bumpee and it went straight into drink (full drink) so stuck his hand in to get it and of course juice everywhere on the table. Said sorry but stuck his hand in again Grin so I gently got his hand out and said that will keep happening and then DS said "Ill get it out and did the same thing! Grin I just had to laugh at the pair of them and they both simultaneously gave me the serious Hmm look haha!

Sad for you Imogen. Wouldn't you just once love to tell some of the officious b***ds, whose whims can make or break our DCs chances, a few home truths.
You must have been very restrained!

Becaroooodolf · 16/12/2011 19:33

Imogen Sad (hugs)

coff Yes! I do have great friends on here....what would I do without you all?? Smile

Sigh. Its been a rough few months week and its catching up with me tbh.

The scumbags vendors we bought the house from decided not to tell us the boiler doesnt work properly, the conservatory roof leaks and the kitchen hob doesnt work...spent all week trying to sort stuff and its taken its toll Sad Plumber coming next thurs to try and get us hot water upstairs, upvc guys coming back out tomorrow to try and fix the leak but they have been out 3 times already and its not fixed so not hopeful. Got a new hob - my dad is going to put it in for me tomorrow so at least I'll be able to cook!

Toes are buggered really....swelling gone down and bruising getting better but still painful and still limiting mobility/driving etc.

Dh been a real pain this week too wrt ds1....the following is a real conversation between me and dh;

dh: Well! He has finally gone to sleep!
me: What did you expect?

dh: Its getting ridiculous....its got to stop...
me: Ok, you stop using your "special pen" to write on your "special notebooks" and we'll talk....
dh: Shock

lisad123 · 16/12/2011 19:42

Bec look at warm front grant, not sure of your money situation but they might be able to help with boiler ect.

Becaroooodolf · 16/12/2011 19:52

Will do lisa thanks.

Will have to start harvesting my organs and selling them on e bay at this bloody rate! Sad

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/12/2011 19:52

Hope things get better, Imogen. Sad

I can't imagine moving house with the kids, Becarooo, well done! Hope the toes heal up. DS1 has had an ingrown toenail removed and I'm dressing it everyday, it's taking ages to heal, so I really feel for you.

Becaroooodolf · 16/12/2011 20:03

ellen DS1 really struggles with change (quelle surprise!) and so dh and I did 4 x 14 hour days trying to get stuff sorted for him (his bedroom, his sofa and tv and dvd player etc)

I am so tired I literally dont know what to do with myself...

I would never have believed that falling downstairs and landing on my toes could be so painful!!! (I am v heavy though tbh!) Sorry your ds1 has had an ingrown toenail - painful!!!!

Once I can cook again and the roof is fixed and we have hot water upstairs I will feel a bit better hopefully!!!!

WilsonFrickett · 16/12/2011 20:06

Lisa she did search all your threads and I now feel I know you very, very well indeed [slightly stalkerish emoticon] - thanks again for your help.

DS has been ill this week, DH was last week and it better not be me this week! Starting to stress about the move, behind in the studies, and I was offered a freelance job which would be at the same time as house move so I said I couldn't do it, they then came back and said 'but we really want you so we've moved the deadline. To before Christmas.' Which was really lovely of them but FFS I haven't wrapped a single present yet!!!!!

Imogen, I really hope things get better, I think there are few things to hear that could me more frustrating Angry.

coff33pot · 16/12/2011 20:09

Becs shoot the vendor! It must feel like you are camping instead of inside a new home :(

lol @ telling DH to get rid of his special pen Grin I hope that proved a point. Nothing worse when you are all tired and teasy from moving though is it.

Imogen hold on in there and stay strong xxx

HolyCalamityJane · 16/12/2011 20:11

Hi everyone had a bit of a name change (the mummy formally known as Gigglebizzmizz thought that was so last year darling!!) Still feel like a total newbie on here but have had such invaluable advice from you all so thanks so much.

Got an official private dx for DD this week as had another 2 years to wait on the NHS which is ridiculous!! DD has ADHD already been dx with dyspraxia and consultant has prescribed medication which I am scared about. Am due to start that tomorrow so tonight will be a sleepless night me thinks!!

Just about to be made redundant but actually seeing it as a blessing in disguise as DD needs me at home don't know how I managed to squeeze in a job before!!

DH is on his work's Chrimbo party so no doubt will roll in 3 sheets to the wind oh Joy looking forward to the snoring this evening!!!

Becaroooodolf · 16/12/2011 20:14

coff Thats it!!! Thats whats making me so unhappy! I am NOT made for camping/slumming it in ANY way!!! I cant even do futons......to paraphrase Victoria Wood - I havent got the pelvis for a futon Grin

lisad123 · 16/12/2011 20:27

Confused oh no!!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/12/2011 20:41

Wilson, I forgot it was your social story thread!

Holycalamity, thank goodness the redundancy isn't a disaster! Good luck with the medication.

HolyCalamityJane · 16/12/2011 20:44

Thanks Ellenjane. Anyone any tips on how to get a5 year old with a gag reflex and a tendency to throw tantrums to swallow a tablet????
