Ian Jordan, coloured lenses

Hi, has anyone had any experience of Ian Jordan, my dc's school have arranged for my dc to have this test.
Can't help feeling that if this all works, why isn't he nhs approved and why isn't it available in all the opticians, can't help but be cynical about it all.
Any experiences, negative and positive would be appreciated, ta.

YABU to be cynical.

The NHS tries (very successfully) to pay for as little as possible.

Loads and loads of things that are known to work aren't provided by the NHS.

Looks like they are available on the NHS in North Devon

indigo bell - hi didn't mean to offend anyone x, just trying to find out as much as possible, if it does work , why isn't every opticians offering this service - even if you do have to pay for it.

Probably simply because it isn't part of standard opticians training.

Irlen Syndrome is a very rare condition. So I guess it makes sense to have a few specialists who know about it.

Ian Jordan isn't the only one who does it, people all over do. He's just the best and the most famous.

There are far more common problems opticians don't check for :)
