Sounds like it might be interesting (specially with the ITV take on things - I wonder who they'll have narrating with the voice of doooooom!)

I saw the trailer too and wondered if anyone on this board will be appearing in it.

I shall be watching too although I don't like the title at all. My son has adhd and is waiting forassessment for HFA/aspergers. I just hope its a balanced programme and doesn't start bashing the parents. What other conditions do the children have in the programme?

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 30/11/2011 17:06

My Child's Not Perfect, Episode 1

Two-part programme looking at the problem of children with behavioural, emotional or clinical issues that can go undiagnosed and are often put down to bad behaviour. Cameras follow families from a variety of backgrounds as they try to understand their children's problems and test methods of dealing with their conditions. In the first programme, the show meets six-year-old Katherine, who is chatty at home but has not uttered a single word at school. Can a speech therapist help her? 15-year-old Henry has been diagnosed with severe Tourette's Syndrome, but his problem may be improved by a trip to the dentist. The parents of 10-year-old Adam are frustrated as they struggle to get a diagnosis for him.

from the itv site. Not the best choice of titles!

BabeRuthless · 30/11/2011 19:46

Agree that title isn't great but it's really good to see a programme like this on a mainstream channel at peak time. Hopefully they'll handle it well & people can see how tough it can be. It won't happen but I'd love there to be a "Filling out the dla form" episode, think that would have to be a two parter! Wink
