Hi All

I still don't post much at the moment as still recovering from my operations and typing sets everything off but I have been lurking and checking up on you all Grin.

Good things this week:

  1. I am ebaying all of our junk and so far in the last 3 weeks have made around £400-500 which means that Christmas is free and the credit card debt is starting to reduce. I still have a huge amount of stuff to go inc a spa break that I can't use as can;t travel to it and don't want to be touched by a non-physio at the moment.

  2. I'm starting Triple P with a very supportive group of parents in January. and I found a mum who going through AS dx for her son in the same school who is in the position of having to fight for her son etc. I'm pleased that I could give her some pointers :)

  3. DS has volunteered to speak in the Christmas production and is happy about it :) :)

  4. 6 weeks today I will be in Egypt on holiday thanks to the Family Fund Grin

As you were.......... Cider, the telly and MNSN tonight. Perfect. I'll be lurking :)

Re ebay I've been using DH's iphone app and it is so so much easier than using a camera. They have an Android app as well but my megapixels aren't as good as his!

I just list everything with a 99p start - trainers, golf shoes, portable dvd player the works. Take a picture on the app and do the explanation bit. I sometimes weigh the item and check the postage on the royal mail website but atm I am just usng the postage amounts that others have used. I use RM for small items up to 1kg and Collect+ where you can drop the parcel at the corner shop for more than that.

I sold DVDs and CDs on Amazon Marketplace which is even easier as you don't have to take a picture or do a description and they have set amounts for p&P.

The really rubbish DVDs and CDs went on Music Magpie and I will be getting £55 from them shortly.

DH has a LOT of stuff and I've been too ill in the past year to gradually cull it. Now nothing is safe. I have warned DH that he is next Grin

Oo thanks Ben10 that really helps re the postage charges, as that's one of the things I worry about getting right. We don't have an iphone unfortunately.

My sister has sold a lot over the years and I saw her for the first time in months today. She has offered to help me get started, but it could be months until I see her again and I really want to get rid of some stuff soon, as we are sinking under mounds and mounds of stuff in this house at the moment.

Was reminded that we definitely won't be selling anything of ds1's today, by his utter delight at finding a small piece of elastic that he thought he'd lost forever. He couldn't wait to tell me how happy he was, because he really loved that piece of elastic and thought it had gone forever! Grin

Managed to dose myself up with cold and flu tablets and brave the shops with dsis today and actually had a really nice town. Also discovered that Bella Pasta do gluten free pizza's which is great news, as ds1 is always so disappointed that there's nowhere for him to eat in town. Even bought myself a snazzy new jacket, which is shocking pink. I am the Johnny Cash of the Mums in the playground usually, as I nearly always wear all black - so this is a really big change for me. It was a total impulse buy - spurred on by my bad influence of a big sister, but I'm surprised how much I love it! Grin

Bumped into my hairdresser in a shop and she nearly fell over with shock when she saw how much weight I've lost. (I don't see her very often.) I then got a text from my Mum saying she'd text her straight away afterwards to say she couldn't believe how different and fantastic I look! Blush but Grin

Poor old dh didn't have such a good day, as he had to take all three dcs to a party, where ds1 ended up having a meltdown, so they all had to come home early. Sad That's two weekends in a row where he's done that at someone else's party.

Cold has returned full force since I got home, banging head, streaming nose, temperature and shakes. Sad So I am now curled up on the sofa with my laptop and a box of tissues and have strict orders from dh to stay in bed tomorrow! Shock

Hope everyone else is having good weekends. Smile
