seizures - any connection to GFCF diet?

DS (5) has Autism and Brain injury (amongst many!) he is on GFCF diet, it suits him and generally it is kept strict, otherwise he gets more austicy type behaviour.

However on sunday, we went out (didnt take safe snacks :( ) and he was starving and knew there was a biscuit in my bag that big bro had bought.. he ate it.

Last night (wed) we were sat reading together and he had a seizure, which only lasted just less than a minute. followed by sleeping and distress and headache on waking.

Background: DS used to have absences before his diet excluded milk. His type of brain injury gives him 20% chance of seizures.

What do you think? could the massive intake of gluten contributed? or just a coincidence (although i dont believe in coincidences anymore). age thing? any experiences anyone?

AfAIK a ketogenic diet helps epilepsy - and it's a very strictGF diet.

So, I'd say yes. Gluten could cause seizures in your DS.

but would it take 3 days to make it happen?
