I was supposed to take my car back in october, but with what was going on with my neighbourhood, I got the lease extended, at that time a Grand Scenic had an advance payment of 250, I am now due to order a new car and the advance payment is 895 now There is no way I can afford this Bum!! I need a large car as when people come out with us to help on day trips etc, we have to take two cars, and I wanted to be able to get in the car and go without worrying about someone following me or following them

£895???? When we ordered the Grand Scenic a year and a half ago it was "only" a £500 advance payment. Have the quoted you for the most basic model they do? The next model up with the flashy automatic handbrake was something like that.

well if dd2 gets mobilility (big IF) that means a zafira for us then.

I did get the forms to apply for the advance payment, but they want to know the ins and outs of a monkey's **!!

You've got to provide copies of all documentation regarding benefits, wage slips, 3 months bank statements and then they expect to you pay the first £500 of the advance payment.

Looks like it is going to be a Zafira for us too in April when the Picasso goes back!

we got our advanced payment back from the zafira

btw it was a couple of hundred quid and it was all refunded

I would be interested to also know how you got the advance payment refunded. We had to pay an advance of £695 for our Picasso 3 years ago, wonder if we might get it back too??

I have no idea why it was refunded but the car showroom phoned us about a week after we received the car and said we were getting advance payment refunded.
This was nearly 18 months ago.
