dd is going to be 4 in march and is desperate for a bike - her balance isn't excellent she can stand unaided and walk about fine in doors but is very clumsy outside - so althuogh we want to get her bike we're a little scared of her falling - she wears a splint so we dont' think she'll beable to pedle the bike more just shuffle with it

we've seen this in elc /link{http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-33980?image_id=2&product_id=33980\classic trike} and like the fact that we can push her with the handle. so any comments apreciated or any other recomendations

I have no experience of a child with cp, but that's exactly the bike I thought of when I read your post!

misdee · 01/01/2006 23:18

that looks good.

fairydust · 01/01/2006 23:19

misdee will you point your sis in this direction if you speak to her please

That trike is very similar to DS's old SN trike, which I sadly gave away a few months ago, as he had outgrown it. I am thinking about getting one of those for DD1 now I have seen it.

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 23:20

lol

lou33 · 01/01/2006 23:21

FD, talk to your physio/ot, we have a bike through them for ds2, which has the right support for him.

fairydust · 01/01/2006 23:21

thanks for that sparkly it seems to be the only one on the market that is still a trike but will fit an older child

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 23:39

wow!! He has grown up fast. My dd1 is in year 1 now and DS is in year 3!! dd2 is in nursery. I loved their xmas play, DS was sat on a chair on the stage while the rest of the class were standing, and at the end Ds had to wait for the rest of the class to leave the stage and his friend helped him down off the stage [bless]

lou33 · 01/01/2006 23:47

He is really excited, he has been wearing his unifrm for weeks now

He was Joseph in his nursery play, it was really sweet. He sat on his sn chair with everyone paying homage to him pleased as punch
